Chicago has many tourist attractions and some of the top attractions include the Sears Tower, The John Hancock Building, The Billy Goat Tavern, The Art Institute of Chicago, Millennium Park, and shop on the Magnificent Mile. There are many more places to see but these are the ones most recommended.
The Sears Tower used to be the tallest building in the world from 1973-1998 but recently the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia took its place. People still flock to see the Sears Tower though because the view of the city from it is unbelievable.
The John Hancock Building is a great tourist attraction because the tower is quite tall and you will be able to get a great view of Chicago in all four directions. There is an observatory level on the 94th floor that is open until 11 pm which is awesome so you can view the city lights. There is also a fantastic restaurant on the 95th floor called “The Signature Room” which serves some of the best food found in Chicago. This building was built for tourist and is a must see.
The Billy Goat Tavern is located under Michigan Avenue and is a favorite spot for the large college population in the city. The United Center, where Michael Jordan made history as the greatest basketball player of all-time, is a must see for any sports fan who visits Chicago. Millennium Park is another must see attraction it is often compared to NYC Central Park. Here you can ice skate and eat a leisurely lunch at the Park Grill. You can also go see a concert at the Pritzker Pavilion
Last you must Shop on the Magnificent Mile. There you will find an American Girls Store that brings in people from all over the states. The Navy Pier is another place to see.
